WN/R: 26 persons before court for burning suspected armed robber

 

26 residents of Sefwi Bonsu Nkwanta in the Western North Region will today August 19, 2022 appear before the Sefwi Wiaso Magistrate Court for setting an alleged armed robber ablaze.

 

According to reports, several residents have been attacked by armed robbers with 6 people being killed in the process.

 

However, the residents through their vigilance caught two of the armed robbers who have been terrorizing them.

 

Although they handed them over to the Police, some section of the youth of the area ambushed the Police station and picked out one of the suspected armed robbers and burnt him.

Police raided the area and arrested 26 people who they believe were part of the people who set the suspected armed robber ablaze.

 

Reports indicate that the 26 people may be reduced because some of the persons who were arrested have no idea of the crime committed.
