VIDOE: Policeman handcuffs man over Ghc2 ‘Apio’ debt

 

Our source is in possession of a video in which a young man in his late 30s is handcuffed by a Policeman for owing him Ghc2.

From his narration, the Policeman operates a drinking spot where he sells alcohol known in the local parlance as Apio.

 

 

The young man who has been handcuffed said he and his friend went to a drinking spot to drink alcohol, however, he did not have money to pay for his share of the bill which is Ghc2.

He promised to pay at a later date but the owner of the drinking spot who doubles as a Policeman will have none of that and handcuffed him.

Upon realizing how serious the issue had become, he stepped out of the drinking spot and went to borrow Ghc2 from a friend.

Upon his return, the owner of the drinking spot who handcuffed him had left and was nowhere to be found.

The young man says he has tried to remove the handcuff at different police stations to no avail and he has not also been able to find Opete.

As of the time this report was being filed, Opete hadn’t been found.
