Gay activist falls from palanquin during coronation as chief at Yamoransa
A Nigerian gay right activist, Davis Mac Lyalla was caught in an embarrassing situation when he fell down from a palanquin during his installation as Chief at Yamoransa in the Central Region.
He was dancing in the palanquin through the principal street of Yamoransa on Saturday, January 28, 2023 during his installation as the Amankorahen of the Nkusukum Traditional Area.
Davis Mac Lyalla pledged to help fight for human rights for everyone in Nkusukum without intimidation from anyone.
Davis Mac Lyalla was installed by the Paramount Chief of Yamoransa who is also the President of the Nkusukum Traditional Area Nana Okese Essandoh IX under the stool name Nana Kwesi Gyasi I.
The swearing of oath of allegiance to the Chief and the residents was called off.
Meanwhile, some angry residents tried to stop the ceremony saying they do not know much about his background but have been reliably informed that he a gay activist and a foreigner committed to develop the area during his speech.
Some believe that the gods and ancestors of the land orchestrated his falling down from the palanquin, which was an indication that the god’s had totally rejected his installation.
