O/R: 12 SEATER TOILET FACILITY COMMISIONED BY NGOs AT KABITI MARKET.

NARAYANA SUPPORT SYSTEM a non governmental (NGO), non profit organization in the Nkwanta south municipality of the Oti region as part of it cooperate social responsibilities commissioned a 12 seater capacity modern toilet facility for Kabiti market to be used by market men and women.

Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, the Founder and Leader of NARAYANA SUPPORT SYSTEM Mr Narayana Osei Nyarko said ,the purpose for the construction of the toilet facility is curb, the struggle traders go through and to stop open defecation in the community.

He continues that the project was awarded to a contractor during president John Agyekum Kuffour regime which was abandoned for several years which he took upon himself to complete for the traders to be used.


He further urged the people to cultivate maintenance culture to keep the facility neat and last for other generation to come.

The chief of Kabiti Nana Alfah Okonteh thanked Mr Narayana Osei Nyarko for bringing such a project to the community because it will reduce open defecation and diseases such as diarrhoea etc, that the people suffer as a result of open defecation in the community.
Nana further appealed for more support and wished him well in all his endeavor.

The Assemblyman for Kabiti electoral area Hon Hevi Raphael said, the project being completed by Narayana Osei Nyarko has reduced a major problem on his head as an assemblyman because open defecation is the major problem facing the community since there’s no public toilet for residents to be used.


Some of the market women who spoke to newsmen one woman called madam Abravi said, ” this toilet facility has brought a lot of joy to us as traders because whenever we feel like going to toilet we walk far distance to the bush which we do get scared of reptiles and other animals bitting us . We thank Mr Narayana for his kind gesture and pray for God’s blessings for him to bring more developmental projects to this community.”
