The concern youth of sefwi-Asafo have lauded the developmental initiative of Mr Yaw Augustine Blay executive Secretary to the vice president for supporting St Raphael school which is in a deplorable state for over two years after a fire outbreak at the school.
According to the group pupils of the said school study under tress which negatively affects teaching and learning.
Chairman Joseph Mintah spoke to the Media the true state of school.
The Concerned Youth of Sefwi-Asafo and the Saint Raphael Catholic School Old Students Union in Sefwi-Wiawso Municipal in the Western North Region are very much grateful to Mr. Augustine Blay for his financial support in the re-roofing work of the school.
The group, led by Patrick Nketiah, is driving a donation campaign to refurbish the Saint Raphael Catholic Nursery School block which was destroyed in a fire outbreak about two years ago.
Several efforts by the community to get assistance from the Municipal Assembly and government officials from the area to renovate the school have so far not yielded any result.
The group wishes to express its deepest gratitude to Mr. Augustine Yaw Blay, Executive Secretary to the Vice-President of the Republic of Ghana, for his kind gesture to the Sefwi-Asafo community by providing us with the following items worth GHS 18,000:
Details of the items are:
21 (twenty one) packets of roofing sheets;
36 (thirty-sis) boxes of roofing nails;
8 (eight) boxes of 4-inch nails and;
2 (two) boxes of 3-inch nails.

He stood on behalf of group and thanked the secretary to vice president “may the almighty God bless you and double your fortunes, good son of our land. May you receive the very best in life”.
