Sometimes, I cringe over Bawumia desperation to lead the NPP – Suhuyini

Member of Parliament for Tamale North Constituency Alhassan Sayibu Suhuyini says Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia stands no chance of becoming President of Ghana because of his track record.

“He is a commodity that has been bastardised by his own words,” the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament (MP) stated on Wednesday, May 17.

He was speaking on TV3‘s New Day and pointed out that Dr Bawumia’s desperation to lead the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is “nauseating”.

“Sometimes, I cringe over his desperation to lead the NPP.”

The discussion follows reports that branded pick-up vehicles have been taken delivery of as Dr Bawumia gets ready to announce his presidential bid.

The Vice President has already given hints about contesting the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Presidential Primaries this year.

He is reported to have met the Majority Caucus in Parliament to seek members’ blessings as he gets ready to officially announce his bid.

But the Tamale North lawmaker says Dr Bawumia has lost it even before he begins.

“He is the most discredited politician in the Fourth Republic.”
