The Leadership of the National Democratic Congress NDC in the Ningo Prampram Constituency is allegedly organizing its members to hoot at President Akufo-Addo today as he pays the area a visit.

President Akufo-Addo is expected to arrive in the constituency as part of rounds to commission new projects and visit traditional authorities.

The NDC Executives of the area are now being accused by their NPP counterparts of organizing party members to hoot at the President when he arrives.

According to an Executive of the NPP, John Charway, the action of the NDC Executives is “very shameful”

“Because the President is coming to Ningo Prampram today, the NDC guys here are organising their members to come and hoot at the president. Very shameful!” He said.

First hooting

A section of the patrons at the 2022 Global Citizen Festival held at the Black Star Square jeered at President Akufo-Addo when he mounted the podium to deliver a speech.

The crowd which was mainly young men and women was heard chanting ‘away, away,’ as soon as the President was heard saying “the whole world is in Ghana today,”.

This left the President struggling to address the crowd.

2nd and 3rd Booing

Some residents of Akyem Akroso were seen  booing the president and his entourage as they drive on a stretch riddled with potholes in a town reported to be in the Eastern Region.

The president received boos due to the appalling condition of the area’s roads, according to a Twitter user going by the name @PrinceHenry_PHK.

Skyrocketing fuel prices, ever-increasing food market prices, bad roads, and a high cost of living among other factors have driven Ghanaians to resort to booing the president at any given chance.

Also while the president toured the Ashanti region to commission some projects, several market women and men also booed at him and his entourage as they drove through Adum.
