New Patriotic Party (NPP) stalwart, Dr. Richard Amoako Baah has told President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo not to be comfortable as President when the masses are suffering, reminding him that, the position he is enjoying is not chieftaincy but a democratic position where he could be removed from office by a process.
He laments no leadership has been displayed by the current NPP when the people who voted them into power are complaining of lack of direction in dealing with the economic crises we find ourselves in.
MyNewsGh.com monitoring his current affairs weekend show on Ultimate 106.9 FM in Kumasi, “What’s Going On” Dr. cautioned some Ghanaians who think it will be strange to remove the president not to be as there are democratically accepted processes to get rid of the President.
“Some people think, a president being removed from office before his tenure is odd, no this is not chieftaincy it is presidency; he is supposed to do things so that our lives become a bit better but it’s getting harder before this is done it will get unbearable. This is what is happening in Cameroon, the president has been in office for forty years
“Nobody is going to tolerate nonsense any more. Our president must know that we will not tolerate nonsense anymore. This is the people’s lives he is playing with, he wants to be like Kwame Nkrumah, go ahead and be like Kwame Nkrumah. That is his business but you cannot use our money and resources to do things that are not important. we should charge him for causing national harm in the name of the cathedral, didn’t he say that it was not government money he was not going to use, isn’t that what he said that was a lie, we should hold him accountable to that, just that alone is enough to remove him.”
Dr. Amoako Baah is urging Ghanaians not to coil into their shell but rise up and speak to the ills under the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo administration. He noted that people who tend to cover up for the current president disgust him.
“The time has come if you are Ghanaian and can fight, just shut up, be quiet and let those who can fight for you. That is the only thing I get tired of it, behaving as if whatever Nana Addo does, let’s forgive him. The things he has done if it was Mahama we would have thrown him out a long time ago. I am not saying we should throw out and bring Mahama, no two years is a long-time things will come up”, he asserted.
