Parliament approves $710m in 5 loan agreements

Parliament has approved a total of $710 million in 5 loan agreements in an emergency sitting Tuesday May 2, TV3’s Parliamentary correspondent Komla Klutse has reported.

Komla further reported that despite a resistance from the Minority, the Majority side pushed over and had the facilities approved for expense by the executive.

The lawmakers were recalled from recess by the Speaker on Thursday, April 20 for an “urgent parliamentary business”.

Parliament proceeded on recess on Friday, March 31 and was expected to reassemble in July.
