The headmaster of Gyanekrom M/A School in Krachi West of the Oti Region,Mr. Richmond Badu has call on the Government and NGOs to be of help to the school.
Mr. Badu said the school lacks furniture and the school building is not in a good shape.
He added that, the challenges are making teaching and learning difficult for both teachers and students.
“We don’t have school office and teachers are using a shade of a Mango tree as office which is very bad”
From the primary to the Junior high are all facing the same problem and students of three to four shares the same desk. He added.
Mr. Badu who is not happy with the situation said due to that, they can not enroll new students into the school.
Mr. Andrews Twumasi who is a teacher said,the situation is giving the teachers more extra work.
“Because of the number of students using one desk, Teaching them becomes difficult and that gives us more extra works”
He appel to the government, NGOs and individuals to come and be of help to the school before things become worse.
Some students who spoke to the media said the situation is affecting them acadamecally, hence the authorities should give them urgent attention.
