NPP: “The country is not ready for more of the same; It’s time we have a clear departure in the leadership front” Owusu Afriyie, NPP Leading Member-USA

Mr. Owusu Afriyie, a leading member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the United States of America (USA), has lambasted the vice president Dr Bawumia for poor leadership as chairman if the economic management team and inconsistency in some promises he made to Ghanaians.

Mr Afriyie said, The vice president is not consistent and cannot be trusted when he leads the NPP to 2024 elections, adding that his leadership will be worse than the Nana Addo administration.

He described Dr Bawumia as a man who has heavily not been consistent on his words, lacking political experience and charisma.

“Bawumia and Nana Addo couldn’t deliver to expectation and It’s time we have a clear departure in the leadership front”

“The country is not ready for more of the same, We need a new leader to direct us to the root and that person is Chief Alan”, he added

The leading and funding member predicted a defeat to the NPP come 2024 if Dr Bawumia leads the party to face NDC’s John Mahama.

According to him, Ghana’s political market and the final decision makers would not accept Dr. Mahmudu Bawumia as a President.

“Fielding Dr Bawumia on the Presidential slot will defeat the winning formula of the party and cause the party to lose the 2024 elections”

“Bawumia is not a candidate who can compete JM, Bawumia and Nana Addo has brought shame to the NPP. Look at the Kuffour NPP and this current NPP, we don’t need any retrogression. Let vote for Alan Kyeremanten”
