NPP chairman kills his wife in Ashanti region

Kwaku Seidu alias Kukrudu, a man in his 50s, was arrested for the murder of his wife in a land dispute that occurred in Tepa-Danyame, Ahafo Ano North Municipality, Ashanti Region.

It is believed that the culprit, a New Patriotic Party polling station chairman, shot and killed his wife, simply named Sister Adwoa, in front of other family members.

Frederick Nyamekye, the area’s Assembly Member, stated the culprit was almost lynched by irate community members before the Tepa district police intervened.

The suspect is now being treated at the Tepa government hospital while being monitored by police.

The mortuary at the hospital is now holding the corpse of the dead.
