Nkwanta North: MP-“I Donated GH¢20,000 to Explosion Victims,” DCE-“Na Sika No W)hen”

THE MEMBER of Parliament for Nkwanta North, John Oti Bless, and the District Chief Executive of the area, Nawugma K. William, of days are allegedly engaged in a verbal bout over the hospital bills of a domestic fire caused by a gas cylinder linkage resulting to five deaths leaving two in critical condition.

 

The two political leaders in the area were said to have exchanged credit words over GH¢20,000 deposit to be distributed to the victims according to the MP.

 

It was clear that, the GH¢20,000 could have triggered the sudden misunderstanding between the two but a couple of residents Otixpres.com spoke to did not rule out their political differences.

 

The lawmaker is accusing the DCE of attempting to take glory for his efforts made in the incident including electrification projects to some communities in the district from his share of the MP’s Common Fund.

 

In an interview, the DCE, William said the lawmaker is nursing a plan ‘B’ ahead of 2024 hence, several moves to run the NPP government down before the constituents and opinion leaders.

 

Nawugma William for his comment, the DCE said the District director and the victims families approached him to team up with ideas on how to transport their relatives.

The MP stated that, he gave out GH¢20,000, when the victims were hospitalized, but the DCE says Hon. Oti Bless should provide those details, asking that, “Na Sika No W)hen”

 

The five deceased were transported under the auspices of the district assembly’s support as they took responsibilities of some caskets and ambulance charges.
