Brempong Abotsi Yaw Daniel has met his untimely death on his way to farm at Nkonya Ntsumuru in the Biakoye District of the Oti Region yesterday Monday August 1st, 2022 Otixpres.com earlier report.
In an interview with Mr Dickson Abotsi, a brother to the deceased, disclosed his late brother left behind two kids and a pregnant wife.
Mr Abotsi further explained that “the following day, Daniel was on his way to the farm and on the way was mango tree that fell by rain, so the assailants were behind it and shot him dead”
He confirmed his late brother was a polling station executive for the NPP.
According to him, the police were informed and went to the crime scene and brought him home then later sent him to Kpando.
Mr Abotsi said the family nor police haven’t identify any suspect but can boldly say that the police in that jurisdiction are not managing cases expectedly.
He believed to be the tribal conflict between Nkonya and Alavanyo that has resulted to his brother’s death.
“All of us are tied on this issues, over 90yrs what are we benefiting. Today you go to Nkonya-Alavanyo, schools closer to the bush will close down because nobody will allow the child to go school, so who’s loosing” we’re loosing today and our children to are loosing, he added.

He revealed that similar incident happened that claimed his uncle’s life when he came from work to farm and was shot down.

“Now people in Nkonya have to go and rent land, per a season one acer is at least ¢200”. He Says “enough is enough we can’t continue like this”
