The 23-year-old has scored four goals from four starts for the Gunners and fans believe he is better than Manchester City’s Norwegian forward
Ghana prospect Eddie Nketiah has been rated above Manchester City’s star Erling Haaland, Liverpool’s Darwin Nunez, and teammate Gabriel Jesus after his brace enabled Arsenal to defeat Oxford United 3-0 in the FA Cup on Monday.
In the third-round fixture at Kassam Stadium, the Gunners were forced to wait until the second half when Mohamed Elneny put them ahead before the 23-year-old Nketiah scored a double in the space of six minutes to seal the victory.
Nketiah has now scored four goals in all competitions from four starts since Arsenal lost their Brazilian forward Jesus to injury at the World Cup finals in Qatar. In the Premier League, he scored in his first start as Arsenal defeated West Ham United 3-1 and then scored in the 4-2 victory against Brighton & Hove Albion.
His display has caught the attention of fans, who have taken to social media to put him above Norwegian Haaland, who has so far scored 21 league goals from 16 matches, and Liverpool’s Nunez, who has five goals from 13 matches.
