The Medical Team Member of the ruling New Patriotic Party in the Ashanti Region, the Patron of the NPP Crusaders and native of Atwima Nwabiagya South Constituency, John Kwame Duodu (Sir John), has urged Ghanaians to be positive in their speech towards the development of the nation.
According to him, our forefathers carved a good foundation for our nation’s success with a positive attitude, yet the negative mindset of modern Ghanaians towards governance has hindered development.
He added that people now boast of coups de tats in the country because of the current economic challenges being faced by citizens as a result of the global crisis.
The patron of the ruling party expressed how Ghanaians have lost the spirit of patriotism by being divided under the influence of most political parties in the country.
He revealed that most statements by Ghanaians that the nation will always lag in development fight against the progress of the nation spiritually.
Sir John also told Ghanaians to let go of their differences irrespective of religion, culture, party, or any association and trust the government to deliver as it promised.
He pleaded with Ghanaians to be unified in supporting the government to achieve its various goals towards building a better Ghana. Again, as
a country, we should try and go back to the old days where we sang some of the patriotic songs with our heads held high with joy, happiness, and a sense of belongingness and oneness of purpose. We should reflect on some of the patriotic songs like:
1. Ma Oman Yi Ho Nhia Wo.
2. Mo Nsom.
3. Yen Ara Asaase Ni.
4. I Promise on My Honour.
5. God Bless Our Homeland Ghana.
7. Biako Ye and other patriotic songs, so as a country, we should consider some of these patriotic songs to re-energize us in everything we do.
He finally called on Ghanaians to vote massively for the New Patriotic Party in 2024 to indeed break the eight and do more for Ghanaians.
As a country, we should pray and support His Excellency, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo and Dr Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia and His Administration.
God bless our Homeland Ghana to make great and strong.
