In a letter dated December 23, 2022 and signed by the NSS Executive Director Osei Assibey Antwi, Mr Opoku Mensah is to abide by the directive with immediate effect.

“I wish to inform you that the Committee [ of Inquiry] has completed its assignment and submitted the report to Management [ a copy of which is hereby enclosed for your attention]. At a sitting on Wednesday 21st December 2022, the Board after extensively deliberating on the Committee’s Report, unanimously adopted the recommendations proffered by the Committee. On that basis, you are suspended for two(2) calendar months with pay. After the suspension you are to report to the Head Office to work under supervision. With seven(7) days upon the receipt of this notice, you are also to issue an official apology to the National Service Scheme for bringing the name of the scheme into disrepute. The directive takes immediate effect,” the lettered stated in part.

Background
