The Bolgatanga High Court will today June 1, 2022 pass judgment on a suspect who allegedly slaughtered his wife and daughter in an act believed to be a sacrifice to his gods.
Mbawona Tindana, an indigene of Kulpelga in the Talensi District of the Upper East Region in June 2019 slit the throat of his wife Abigael Talata and daughter Nyanpoka Mbawona, aged 2.
MyNewsGh.com earlier reported that Mbawona Tindana dragged his daughter before the gods, slit her throat and spilled the blood on the gods in a human sacrifice to the gods.
He proceeded to behead the wife who attempted to blow the alarm upon seeing the gruesome murder of her daughter.
He has been standing trial on murder charges since his arrest in June 2019.
The Bolgatanga High Court presided over by Justice Charles Wilson is expected to pass judgment on the suspect in the jury trial.
