Learn multitasking from Haruna Iddrisu – Bagbin charges Ato Forson

Speaker of Parliament Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin has advised the Minority Leader Cassiel Ato Forson to learn to multitask as Member of Parliament(MP) and leader of his caucus.

The Right Honourable Speaker gave the advice during the Parliamentary proceedings of 23th March 2023 as some papers were about to be laid and the minority caucus sought more time to go through the papers.

“While the ten minutes run, I am sure you’re reading while you’re presenting the papers. As a Member of Parliament (MP), you must learn how to multitask. Learn from your former leader, honorable Haruna Iddrisu. You must know how to multitask. I insist presentation of papers,” he ordered.

In January, the opposition National Demo­cratic Congress (NDC) changed its leadership in Parliament. Dr Cassiel Ato Forson replaced Haruna Iddrisu as Minority Leader. Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah was named Deputy Leader and Governs Kwame Agbodza became Minority Chief Whip.

The Speaker’s advice has been interpreted by some persons on social media as an unfair criticism of Mr Ato Forson. But others believe it was advice given in good faith.
