“I wish you well”, Akufo-Addo accepts Alan’s resignation

 

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has accepted the resignation from office of Trade Minister Alan Kyerematen.

Kyerematen resigned on Thursday (5 January) after meeting with Akufo-Addo to personally inform him of his decision to leave office.

President Akufo-Addo thanked Kyerematen for his services to his government and to the country, and wished him well in his future endeavours, a statement issued by the Office of the President said.

“The president has asked the Minister for Finance, Ken Ofori-Atta, to act as caretaker minister at the Ministry of Trade and Industry, until a substantive appointment is made,” the director of communications at the Office of the President Eugene Arhin said in the statement.
