Global Music Festival In Accra launched to Mark Ghana’s 65th Independence Anniversary

Thousands of diaspora expected back home Ghana to marked the 10th anniversary edition of the Global festival has been launched to mark 65th anniversary of the Ghana’s Independence and the 20th anniversary of the African union.

 

Speaking at the launch of the Global Music Festival, the Deputy minister for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mark Okraku -Mantey , expressed optimism about the economic impact of the event on the local economy,adding that the festival will attract toursts and local to an increase in inbound travel.

According to him, the organisers of Global citizen ,the Ghana event will be held at the Black star square in Accra on September 24 with live performances from international music super star Usher,SZA, Stormzy , H.E.R and tems along side Ghana stars Sarkodie ,Stonebwoy and Gyakie for which he believes it was in right direction.

 

The event will put s spotlight on Ghana’s creative arts industry and boost collaboration between Ghanaians and artists from other part of the world all are expected to mount stage at the square.

He optimistic that this will bring millions of people inn and abroad for the celebration.

 

According to him, Ghanaians wanted to see thousands of their brother’s and sisters from the diaspora to come and witness the 65th anniversary commemoration.
