After a successful Voting in the Volta Region of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) elections to elect new regional and national executives for the Association, 42 members in good standing have casted their ballots at the designated polling centre of the Volta/Oti Regions of the country.
Today’s elections followed several months of legal acrimony that has characterized the electioneering process to be put on hold.
However, the incumbent leadership of the Association managed to thrash the issuss for the elections of regional and national elections to take place.
Successful candidates have been introduced to members of the Association just after the elections in the Volta Regional capital.
After polls, the media practitioners have decided on Mr. Albert Kwabena Dwumfour as the president elect in Volta/Oti, he pulled 23 votes from 42 delegates, Gayheart Mensah 15, while Dave Agbenu polled Only 4 votes.
