Floods damage roads at Abossey Okine

Roads at Abossey Okine in Accra have been rendered unmotorable following heavy rains which started on Tuesday night through to Wednesday morning.

 

 

The volume of rains caused some parts of the tarred roads to remove while other parts had deep patches and gaping holes making a section of the three-lane road unmotorable.

Many parts of Accra including Kaneshie, Adabraka, Weija, Teshie, Kwame Nkrumah Circle, Dansoman, Tse Addo and Tesano among others have been heavily flooded.

Officials of the National Disaster Management Organization(NADMO) have visited many of the affected areas to assess the extent of damage and also assist the victims many of who are trying to salvage their items.
