Former President of Ghana John Dramani Mahama has reminded Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo that the eight people who lost their lives during the 2020 elections are seeking justice.
John Dramani Mahama made this known when he spoke to Ugandan-based NBS television.
According to him, the only time the current President of Ghana superintended over an election, 8 people lost their lives.
He said unlike previous elections where Police and other paramilitary institutions were made to Supervise elections, the President used rogue militia members of the governing New Patriotic Party who have infiltrated the Military ranks to terrorize voters and kill some Ghanaians who were calling for the right thing to be done.
“They terrorized people and went into spaces that they were not supposed to. They killed eight people and this government have refused to investigate it. The President has not even uttered one word of sympathy to the bereaved family.
And so it was different in 2020. Everything has gone well till this particular election and it’s the first election that this current President has superintended. 2016 when he won, I superintended it and it went smoothly, not one Ghanaian blood was shed but when he superintended the elections, eight people died and those people are crying for justice,” he added.
