EFFUTU MP, Hon Alexander Kwamena Afenyo-Markin PAID SECOND BATCH OF TESCON-UEW SCHOLARSHIP TO 50 STUDENTS

The Member of Parliament for the Effutu Constituency and Deputy Majority Leader for the 8th Parliament, Hon. Alexander Kwamena Afenyo-Markin who has been a major stakeholder and a strong pillar behind TESCON-UEW has again for the second time this academic year donated GHC20,000.00 to TESCON-UEW scholarship scheme to pay the fees of additional fifty stranded students of the Association who has been threatened to defer their courses for their inability to pay the school fees.

This brings the total number of beneficiaries to one hundred and twenty (120) amounting to over Fifty Thousand Ghana cedis (Ghc50,000.00) only for this academic year

Recalling some few words of the Deputy Majority Leader, I will urge all the beneficiaries to learn hard and recover from their frustration before the End of Semester Examination, because I know how it takes a student owing school fees to manage his academic works.

The leadership of TESCON-UEW after receiving the funds diligently made payment to the school’s account on Thursday 28th day of April, 2022 on behalf of the stranded members and on Friday 15th May 2022, the leadership of TESCON-UEW led by Mr Joseph Gyansah, the President of the Association handed over receipt of payments to the 50 beneficiaries of the second batch.

The entire membership of TESCON-UEW expressed their profound gratitude to the Hon member, Hon Alexander Kwamena Afenyo-Markin for his kind gesture and maximum support to all students regardless of their Regions and constituencies of belonging.

Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries was, Mr Bright Okesu a proud Tescon-UEW member, averred that, ” May God bless Hon Alexander Kwamena Afenyo-Markin for his kind gesture and regular support to the Association and also thanks goes to our hard working executives, as they do forgo some of their lecture hours to seek members welfare.

The leadership assured all members to be optimistic and confident in the association, TESCON-UEW is the only association on campus with such great initiative and opportunity for members and is committed to ensuring members welfare.

COMMITMENT’ WITHOUT INDUCEMENT.
