Deputy Finance Minister and Member of Parliament for Atiwa East in the Eastern Region, Abena Osei-Asare shocked colleagues when last Saturday joined a Health Walked for New Patriotic Party(NPP) flagbearer aspirant, John Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanten.
Looking sporty, the trained Charted Accounted was seen smiling heartedly as they walked through the Principal Streets of Accra to raise support for the aspirant in the exercise dubbed “‘Aduru Wo So Health Walk”
This becomes the second in its series after a similar one was held in Kumasi but this time the involvement of some key members of the NPP including the Member of Parliament for Anya Sowutoum and a member of Alan for President 2024 campaign team Dr. Adomako Kissi, MP for Ngleshi Amanfrom Sylvester Tetteh, MP for Tema West Carlos Kingsley Ahenkorah and Former Communications Director of the NPP Yaw Buabeng Asamoah was the major highlights.
Many were however shocked over the emergence of Abena Osei-Asare whose colleague and Member of Parliament (MP) for Ejisu Constituency, Dr. John Kuma has rooted for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
According to him, Dr. Bawumia is the best bet for the party in 2024 because he is competent and loved at the base of the party.
Dr Bawumia is a voice of hope for this country especially in these difficult times.
”In these difficult times, we need people who speak to give us hope and one of the voices in this country that speak to give hope is Dr Bawumia.”
“You need individuals who understand how to reform the current system and add value to what President Akufo-Addo has started.”
“The ‘Ghana beyond Aid’ which must result in ‘Africa beyond Aid’ requires a new level of thinking, innovation and digitalization,” Kumah said.
“We believe in the vision of Dr. Bawumia and what he represents for this country because it’s possible,” Kumah added. “In every circumstance, you need somebody who believes that something new can be done to achieve better results.”
“Dr Bawumia represents that hope. He is the hope of this country. He’s the hope of the youth and the hope of ‘Africa beyond aid.’ He’s the hope of Ghana and it’s possible,” he added.
