The Nkwanta North District and it jurisdictions is in a state of mourning as the third of the seven gas cylinder explosion victims who died as a result at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital is laid to rest at Binchado in the Nkwanta South Municipality of the Oti Region.
Sei Mathew, was among the seven who sustained degrees of injuries on Saturday gas cylinder explosion at Kpassa.
The former pentecost clinic cashier was refried to Kumasi Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital for treatment but couldn’t continued his recovery journey.
Two of the victims has since been buried a few days after the accident in line with customs and traditions with the majority cost of the burial taken care of by the Nkwanta North District assembly.
The three victims died after a gas cylinder was involved in an explosion on August 6.
The news shocked the whole of Oti Region especially the Nkwanta North District.
Nkwanta North Chief Executive and his entourage sent their condolences to the family of the departed as they witness the burial service of Mr Sei Mathew, 23.
The DCE Kidignang Nawugma William led the assembly to sympathise with the families.“it is God who gives, and it is He who takes.”
He pledged the assembly’s support for the cost involved in transporting the deceased from Kumasi into the hands of the family.
