‘Call the politicians to order and stop pampering them’ – Kumasi Traditional Council told

The Kumasi Traditional Council has been urged to call politicians within the Asante Kingdom to order to demand accountability and developments from them.

 

This clarion call was spearheaded by Captain Smart and Aduanaba Kofi Asante Ennin whiles speaking on the maiden edition of Akoma FM and Onua TV/FM joint current affairs and political show.

The duo hosts appealed to the leadership of Kumasi Traditional Council to as a matter of urgency call all politicians including the regional minister, all MMDCEs and other government appointees to ensure the agenda of Kumasi development is on track.

 

They further explained that Ghana’s 1992 Constitution forbids chiefs and traditional leaders from active partisan politics hence the politicians who are allowed to delve in politics are supposed to be aligned to ensure accountability.

 

Captain Smart and Aduanaba Kofi Asante Ennin further urged the traditional council to stop pampering politicians and ask them for development else they (politicians) will continue to take the Ashanti Region for a ride.
