C/R: Two Chiefs escape Languards assassination as police arrest two suspects in Awutu Breku [ Visuals]

Information emanating from Awutu Breku indicates that, the Ankobea hene of Awutu Traditional council Nai Oshimpo Acheampong iii and the Odikro of Awutu Oshimpo Nai Kofi Okyere have escaped assassination by some family members as well as notorious Languards.

Report says, the Ankobea hene had a meeting with the family members and the Awutu Senya District Assembly at his residence but abruptly, some of his family members and Well armed Languards started to assaulting the Divisional chief Nai Oshimpo Acheampong iii mercilessly and later took away his clothes, regalia as well as his traditional ahenema sandals.

 

the Odikro of Oshimpo community Nai Kofi Okyere was butchered in an attemp to save Nai Oshimpo Acheampong iii .

 

The Awutu District police Command has however arrested two prime suspects in the case.

Otixpres.com reporter, Nana Yaw Asare speaking with the victims Nai Oshimpo Acheampong iii noted that, the act of some of his family members was a taboo .

He explained that, he gave a portion of land where some family members were winning sand to a Waste management company but some have disagreed and have further stormed the chief’s residents to brutalized and asult him messlesily, including the Odikro of the community.

He eluded that, this has not been the first time of the gangs terrorizing the family heads and other family members.

Nai Oshimpo Acheampong III had further appealed to the Inspector General of Police IGP, Dr. George Akuffo Dampare to beef up security in their locality.

 

 

Moreover, the Ebusuapanyin of Oyokor Family in Awutu , Ebusuapeyin Kofi Saakwa has also echoed that, justice must prevail in this case ,since the suspects have intentionally disturbing the peace of the family.

This same suspected Languards stormed my house last week and I escaped death, he added.
