Blame Anas for Ghana’s porous sports industry

Member of Parliament(MP) for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong believes that Ghana’s football industry was destroyed by investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas.

He says but for the Invetigative Journalist’s foul means if taking out former Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kwesi Nyantakyi, Ghana’s sports would have been the envy of other nations

“Blame Anas for the failure in sports. He used foul means to destroy Kwasi Nyantakyi. Look at the way he was rising. It completely discourages anyone who wants to go into sports.

So what do you want the government to do? When your hero is Anas who says he will destroy Ghana sports. Nana Akufo-Addo has done well. He has constructed Astro turfs across the country and that has whipped up interest in sports in the country,” he said.

He indicated that it is high time owners of Football clubs and player agents are taken out of the Ghana Football Association.

He believes that these individuals who own clubs and manage players are the reason why Black Stars continue to fail because they have interest and influence player selection for matches.
