Bawumia is the nightmare of the NDC – Alan’s spokesperson haunted by his past (Video)

The spokesperson of Alan Kyeremanten’s Campaign, Yaw Buaben Asamoa has been hit by a video in 2020 where he was praising Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for being an exceptional person.

In the video which has since gone viral on various social media platforms, the former Member of Parliament for Adentan Constituency on Accra-based Peace Fm described Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as the nightmare of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).

“There is one thing I am yet to say, all that I have listed Bawumia is unique and is the nightmare of the NDC. Activists of the NDC shiver when he delves into an issue. If the NDC does not get a match for Bawumia then it is a major headache for them. It is not about economics or anything”, He revealed.

Yaw Buaben Asamoa soon after being appointed spokesperson of the Alan Kyeremanten Campaign team, has however resorted to making very wild allegations against the Vice President he touted his credentials in 2020.

One of such is claims government appointees are being whipped to support the candidature of the Vice President.

Speaking on Asempa FM on the ‘Ekosii sen’ programme on Wednesday, May 3, Yaw Buaben Asamoah warned that the government will not be allowed to impose any candidate on party people.

He argued that Alan Kyerematen is the people’s person and will win the flagbearer election of the NPP to lead the party into the 2024 general election.

“Many Ghanaians endorse the candidature of Alan Kyerematen to lead NPP and subsequently become president of Ghana. Ghanaians prefer Alan Kyerematen to any other candidate in the NPP. Government cannot force its candidate on the party,” Yaw Buaben Asamoa emphasised.

The Former Trade Minister will contest the flagbearership race with other people of the governing NPP including MP for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong, former Energy Minister; Boakye Agyarko, former Agric Minister; Dr Owusu Afriyie Akoto, former General Secretary Kwabena Agyei Agyepong and Mr Addai Nimo.

Many prominent people in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) have also tipped Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia for the position though he has not yet officially made his intentions known after meeting with the Majority in parliament.
