Alban Bagbin is very fair but Asiedu Nketiah is the problem– NPP MP

Member of Parliament(MP) for New Juaben Constituency Hon Michael Okyere Baafi has described Speaker of Parliament Hon Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin as a “very fair” but the National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketia he revealed has been making things difficult for the majority in Parliament.

“Sometimes he is very fair. Naturally, because he has his own political party there is nothing you can do about it, politics is like that, everybody would show some kind of sympathy for his party and he has perfectly done that.” Hon Michael Okyere Baafi said this in an interview with Kumasi-based radio Angel FM monitored by MyNewsGh.com

According to him, since the speaker belongs to a political party, the NDC, it is likely he may not be able to demonstrate absolute fairness but in all, he disclosed that the Right Hon Alban Bagbin has performed his best in the House.
He also revealed that the National Chairman of the NDC Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketiah is also making things tough for them in Parliament with his presence.

“The ones that he needs to be strict, he will do it. But there are other things sometimes you feel he should support you and he will never do that, especially when you see Asiedu Nketiah sitting there.” Hon Michael Okyere Baafi added.

He continued, “anytime he (Alban Bagbin) takes a decision we pray Asiedu Nketiah does not come there. Anytime the speaker takes a decision and we see Asiedu Nketiah around then you know nothing will change. But it is understandable”.
