Alan Cash Revels how NPP Can Retain The Kumawu seat Massively

Flagbearer hopeful of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Alan Kyerematen has congratulated Mr Ernest Yaw Anim on his election as the party’s candidate for the upcoming Kumawu Constituency by-election.

Mr Kyerematen also congratulated the other contestants and urged them to unite and work hard with the elected parliamentary candidate to retain the seat, “and honour the late Hon. Basoah’s legacy Congrats Kumawu!”

During the NPP’s primary on Sunday, April 23 Mr Yaw Anim polled 195 out of the total valid votes cast to emerge winner.

He beat four other contenders to emerge triumphant.

In close second came Obaapa Ama Serwaa, who polled 181 votes.

Two aspirants including former Member of Parliament Yaw Baah had withdrawn from the elections. He threw his support behind Obaapa Ama Serwaa.

The Director of Health Promotions at the Ghana Health Service (GHS), Dr Aboagye Da-Costa, who also contested the primaries, came fourth while veteran radio presenter Osei Bempah came last with five votes.
