Al Sadd terminate contract with Ghana captain Andre Ayew

Qatar powerhouse Al Sadd Football Club have confirmed the termination of their contract with Ghanaian captain Andre Ayew.

The decision was made by mutual consent and was officially announced by the club through a social media statement.

The 33-year-old midfielder had five months remaining on his two-year contract. No explanation was given for the termination of the contract.

Andre Ayew joined Al Sadd as a free agent in July 2021 and played in 30 league games, scoring 18 goals during his time with the club. He won the Qatar Stars League in his first season with Al Sadd.

Rumors are circulating that Ayew could join rival club Al Rayyan. However, there has been no official confirmation of this at this time.

Regardless of his next move, Andre Ayew leaves Al Sadd as a player who made a significant impact during his time with the club.
