A/R: Mother, 2 children burnt alive at Abuakwa

 

A 28-year old mother and her two children have been burned to death at Abuakwa in the Atwiman Nwabiagya South District of the Ashanti Region.

Three family members, Abigail Yeaboah, and her two daughters, Nora Yeboah 9, Philipa Yeboah, 6, were burnt to death on Wednesday dawn when a fire gutted their four-bedroom house.

The deceased family, who were sleeping at the time of the incident, got trapped in their room.

Two others who were in the house according to eyewitnesses managed to escape unhurt.

Some residents who trooped to the scene to rescue the three family members said they heard them shouting for help but they could not be saved.

The intervention of firefighters however prevented the spread of the fire but the entire four bedroom house was destroyed by the blazing fire.

Security personnel are at the fire scene to retrieve the burnt bodies.
